Graffiti removal across Sydney

Graffiti removal in Sydney, priced by the metre, with the paint leaving in our truck.

Send a photograph of the tag and you get a rate and a date back, not a callback promise. Two published figures below: one for surfaces the paint sits on, one for the masonry it soaks into. And the flakes and the slurry go in the truck, because graffiti removal is paint removal, and paint is a stormwater pollutant.

Two rates, because a wall and a window are not the same job

Non porous surfaces

glass, metal and sealed render

from $40

a square metre, including GST

Masonry

face brick, blockwork and raw concrete

from $60

a square metre, including GST

Anti graffiti coating, sacrificial or permanent

sacrificial or permanent, applied after removal

Quoted after a look

One credible Australian source publishes coating rates. One is not enough to print a number against, so we look first.

Both rates are a floor rather than a finished price, and both sit against the same minimum for an attended job of $249 including GST. A single tag the size of a doormat still costs a drive, a setup, containment and a pack down, and stretching it into a bigger number to look busy is worse than saying so.

What moves a job above the floor is how many coats went on, how long it has been there, whether anybody has already tried something on it, and whether the surface can take the removal at all. All of that goes on the written price, next to the figure, before you agree to anything.

Graffiti removal is paint removal, and that changes the whole job

Every line below is a rule we work to, and it is the reason a tag on a shopfront and a tag on an old painted cottage get different answers.

Old paint is the part of this job people get wrong

Lead paint was used in most Australian homes built before 1970. A wand pointed at flaking paint on one of those walls does not clean it, it turns it into dust and spray, and then it is in the garden, on the path and in the drain. So a house of that age is treated as a lead risk until a test says it is not.

That is not a reason we will not help. It is a reason the job changes shape: contained, wet, worked at low force, with the residue captured and removed rather than rinsed away. If that is not what a wall needs, we will say so and you will have lost nothing but a photograph.

What we will not do to get a wall clean

Five things worth checking, on us or on anybody else

These are not the five things we are best at. They are the five that go wrong, taken from published reviews and forum threads about Sydney operators. Ask them of us. Then ask them of the next quote you get.

  • The written price is the price on the day

Price rising on arrival is the second most repeated complaint in this trade. You get the figure before we come, and the figure on the invoice is that figure.

  • A stated method for tile roofs that are not sarked

Water driven through the gaps in an unsarked tile roof is the worst failure in the whole category, and one operator called it normal. It is not normal. Tile is soft washed and the downpipes are handled before we start.

  • Broken tiles photographed and reported

The pattern in the complaints is damage painted over or glued. A broken tile goes in the report with a photograph, before anything is put back.

  • We turn up, and we call back

No shows after a quote are the single most repeated complaint across every listing checked. Every booking is confirmed by a person on the phone.

  • Ask us for the paperwork before you book

This site carries no licence number and no insurance figure, because we will not publish a document we cannot hand you. Ask, and you get the document or a straight answer about what we do not have.

Graffiti removal questions

How much does graffiti removal in Sydney cost?

Non porous surfaces such as glass, metal and sealed render start from $40 a square metre including GST. Masonry such as face brick, blockwork and raw concrete starts from $60 a square metre. The same minimum for an attended job applies, $249, because a single small tag still costs a trip, a setup and a pack down.

Why does brick cost more than glass?

Because paint on glass or powder coated metal is sitting on top of the surface, and paint on raw brick or blockwork is inside it. Porous masonry takes more passes, more dwell time and more care, and the honest way to show that is two rates rather than one average that is wrong for both.

Is graffiti removal the same as pressure washing?

No. It is paint removal. That changes what comes off the wall, where it is allowed to go and when the work has to stop, which is why this page reads differently from the rest of the site.

What happens to the paint you take off?

It is contained and taken away. Paint flakes, the slurry and any chemical stripper are stormwater pollutants, so the work area is bounded, the water is recovered and none of it is allowed into a drain.

Can you remove paint from an old painted house?

Not as routine washing. Most Australian houses built before 1970 have lead paint somewhere in them, so deteriorating paint on one is treated as a lead risk until it has been tested, and it does not get pressure stripped. That is a controlled and contained job or it is not our job.

Do you apply anti graffiti coating afterwards?

It is quoted after a look. We found one credible Australian source for coating rates and one source is not enough to publish a number against, so the coating is priced once we have seen the wall, the exposure and how often it is being hit.

How fast can you get to a tag?

Send a photograph and we will come back with a figure and a date. The diary is open now and the first jobs run from 29 October 2026.

Send a photograph of the wall

One close enough to read the paint and one wide enough to show what it is on. That is usually all it takes to price it. The minimum for an attended job is $249.
